New releases for HCM are now available. Both CU6 and CU7 released for Microsoft Dynamics AX R2 and include enhancements to Human Resources and Payroll. There have been a number of changes that have enhanced the process throughout Human Resources and US Payroll. A brief description of the new features/functionality area listed below.

CU6
New Hire reporting | A new preparation report is available to help in the filing of required new hire data reporting. This is a standard format that assists in the reporting across the US. |
EEO-4 and EEO-5 | EEO-4 and EEO-5 preparation reports have been added in addition to the already existing EEO-1 report. |
Mass Expire Benefits | Benefits processing has been enhanced for Benefit Managers ability to expire/change the enrollments for multiple workers. Options Include:

Human Resources Cube | The new Human Resources cube allows for a much richer reporting experience. Information across Human Resources is available, with access to the cube through Power View within HR. |
Payroll Cube | The new Payroll cube allows for a much richer reporting experience. Information across Payroll is available with access to the cube through Power View within Payroll. |
Support for Payroll Positive Pay | Positive Pay is now supported in CU7 for the Payroll bank account. This capability is enabled through menu items from Payroll Setup, System Administration Setup and the Bank account. |
Personnel Actions | Personnel actions provides review and approval steps as a worker transitions in and out of employment. Additional HR workflows are provided to review the changes along with all the standard workflow approval options. These scenarios are enabled with the Personnel Actions configuration key. When activated: the following scenarios are enabled:
Personnel actions can be accessed from the worker form/list, worker actions list page and through the Hire, Transfer and Terminate process. |
Position Forecasting Enhancements | Additional capabilities have been added to enhance the existing position based budgeting capabilities. Processes have been streamlined to pull budgeting defaults based on new Cost Categories and Compensation Groups. The additional capabilities provide easy integration to budget planning and updates to position forecasting. |
Vets-100 | A new preparation report is available to assist in the filing of the Vets-100 reporting with the US Department of Labor. |
OSHA 300, 300a and 301 | A new preparation report is available to assist in the filing of work related injuries and illnesses. Standard Injury and illness reporting exists prior to CU7. These new preparation reports are designed to assist with reporting of the OSHA 300, 300a and 301 reports |
Payroll Unemployment Wage and Tax | A new preparation report is available to assist with the filing of the state quarterly wage and unemployment tax reporting. |
940 | A new 940 preparation report is available to assist with the reporting of the Employees Annual Federal Unemployment Tax (FUTA) |
941 | A new 941 preparation report is available to assist with the quarterly filing of the Employers Quarterly Federal Tax Return (941) |
Mass Update Benefit Rates | A Process has been added to effectively make cost changes to benefits for all enrolled workers with the ability to recognize custom rates that are personalized and should not change vs. those that are defaulted. |
Tax Groups | Tax Groups are custom groups which can be used to streamline setup and reporting in Payroll. |
